Yarí Alcaraz Cruz is a full-time yoga and pilates teacher whose style is influenced by her many years of study in a variety of mind-body practices and her decades of rigorous dance training.
Amongst them are Kinesiology, Laban and Bartenieff Movement Analysis, Franklin Method, Alexander Technique, Myofascial Release, Iyengar Yoga, etc...
She has her own private practice focused on injury rehabilitation and prevention and is a regular Yogaworks teacher.
She obtained a Pilates Mat and Equipment Certification through The PhysicalMind Institute at Movements Afoot Studio in NYC under the guidance of Lesley Powell and Doris Pasteur-Hall. Following the certification, she taught under the guidance of Erika Bloom at her Upper East Side studio,
amongst others. Upon moving to LA, she found her yoga home at Center for Yoga, where she received her 500-hr yoga teacher certification through Yogaworks under the guidance of Anne Van Valkenburg, Carmen Fitzgibbon and Joan Hyman.
Yarí danced professionally for many years and has a BFA in Dance from the Ohio State University.
